How to write the perfect valentine's day card message - graphic

With Valentine's Day coming up, there is always a little bit of panic in drafting the perfect heartfelt message for your loved one. We are here to provide you with a template that will showcase your love and make your special someone as happy as ever.

1. Start with a greeting

Now this may seem simple but don't dismiss the greeting. This first word or phrase will set the tone for the rest of the message! The best way to make them blush is to make this personal to the person that you are writing for. For example, if you have a nickname for them, use that. If your loved one loves romance, you can use endearing terms such as "my love"or "my soulmate" to name a few. If your special someone is more playful and/or doesn't like nicknames, you can simply use their name. The biggest tip is make sure to think about who you are writing for!

2. Wish them happy valentine's day

This step is the most important as it is the reason why you are writing the card in the first place! At some point in the card, you need to make sure to wish them Happy Valentine's Day.

3. Share a memory and/or wish for the future

Now that we have shared the most important parts of the card, it is now time to make this card more personal. Our suggestion is to share a memory that you've had together and/or a wish for the future. To break this down will go with each section.

By sharing a memory in the card you've shown them that you keep these sacred and top of mind. Try to think of something that reflects your relationship whether it be something funny, romantic, passionate, etc. Examples of a memory could be a trip you've gone on together, a special date night that you've experienced, a funny moment you've shared, or even a memory of being at home together.

When sharing the wish for the future think about your goals and what you would hope to get out of this relationship or what you cherish. If this is a newer relationship and you recently started dating, you can make a wish that is more short-term or share that you are looking forward to a certain event in the future. If you're married and have been together for a long time, you can share a wish to have many futures memories together. Again, try to think of the person you're writing for and what they would want to read.

4. Sign off the card

Lastly, this part of the card is probably the easiest to complete. The ending is similar to the greeting and you need to keep in mind who you are writing to! Think about what this person likes and sign off accordingly. If your hand is cramping or you are in a rush, you can simply write your name, however this is not ideal. Most people like to include a salutation such as "Love, (your name)" or "With all my love, (your name)". Either way is fine but make sure you add your name at the end so they know who the card is from.

With these steps you will be able to write the perfect Valentine's Day card and impress your loved ones on this special day.

Wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day from all of us at Ellinika Designs!
